Hello!

Stanislav is on date and we are working to have everything ready for his baptism. He wasn't able to come to church this last week because he was in the hospital the night before. He found out that his cancer is still putting up a fight and it causes him some problems sometimes. I don't know if I have mentioned it before but Stanisalv is on crutches because he only has one leg. He used to work on power poles and things and he got electrocuted and fell off the pole and they had to amputate his leg. He talks about what a great miracle it is for him to be alive. He is so appreciative and humble. What an amazing example he is to me. He chose people to do things for his baptism and as we have been trying to get it all set up everyone keeps telling us no and that they can't come! We hope that there will be some people there! It will be great, he is a good sport he told us he doesn't care who is there as long as we are there he will be happy. So that is exciting. His 19 year old son is supposedly going to come with him to the baptism so that is really exciting! He wants Sister Schoen and I to do a musical number at the baptism so we will see how that goes.

We didn't have a lot of lessons this week, everyone kept canceling on us or something crazy would happen, but we did have a lot of really good conversations with investigators and less actives!

We were able to stop in and visit one of our less active families this week. We just dropped by to deliver cookies and wish them a happy valentines day and they invited us in. At first it was the wife and the two younger kids and we just chatted a little and then we asked to sing a song and as we finished the song the husband and other son came in and so we talked with them and got things set up to come and teach family home evening at their house. We are so excited. We love this family so much, they are so sweet and lots of fun.

We were able to stop by Monica's and visit with her, it was the best one yet. We have visited here a few times and she has always turned us away and said I don't want this, i don't want contact with the church, now is not a good time, but this week was different. (we stop by monthly or so when the occasion presents itself) The neighbors were out and let us in the building door so we went in and rang the doorbell. She opened the door and chatted with us for a little bit. She was way friendly and accepted the cookies and valentines card. It was wonderful. Sister Marksova also enjoyed some cookies and a valentine. She is such a sweetheart. I love talking to and visiting her!

We had another miracle sprint across town. We got out of our appointment and she was walking us out. As we got outside we told her we had to run because we had a train to catch in 10 minutes. Well she looked at us and said good luck, it takes me 30 minutes to walk there! (Let me tell you something, Czechs walk fast! I have been walking down the road in a hurry, so a pretty brisk speed walk and the Czechs just walk on past me as if they were enjoying the scenery! I haven't figured it out, neither has my companion but they are just fast! we are booking it and they are just walking on by, it is ridiculous! We have decided it is because they walk everywhere so they learned the fast walk (that looks like a lallygag) from childhood. We have tried bending our knees more and all sorts of stuff, nothing seems to work) Anyway so we took off running and we pressed the button to open the door of the train right before it took off. The ticket checker happened to be at that door so we asked him if the train went to Plazy he said no we don't go to Prague and so we repeated Plazy Kolomuty and he was like yes this is it; so that was nice that we didn't give up right off. Everyone was looking at us like we were crazy but we made it! To make it even funnier, we only had like 40 minutes for our lesson in Plazy and then we had to catch the train. Well we took about 15 minutes to walk to our meeting (we were lost, no clue where the train had dropped us off) and then we had our lesson. Our investigator picked up his phone and said you have 4 minutes until your train. So we said sorry and booked it. On the way all of Sister Schoens pass along cards fell out of her bag so she kept going and I picked them up and booked it after her. Well we made it to the train and jumped on huffing an puffing again and what do you know it was the same train with the same ticket checker, he was just laughing at us. It was great. He was really nice we had a good chat. So the Lord truly helps you catch trains to teach his children and to make it back before curfew. :) Man I love this work.

Hopefully next week you will hear - We have an office! and we wont be teaching in the mall food court anymore! As it is we have an office but we still need to finish painting and get it all fixed up; buy chairs and get it looking nice and decorated. :) So for now, we continue to teach in Bondy, our mall.

I know that this gospel is true and that we can find joy in the little things and learn so much from the spirit. It doesn't matter what is happening around you! Hope that you all have a great week, I love you so much!
