I'm staying in MB with sister Schoen! Woot nine more weeks of HEAVEN!!!! :D‏

Ahoj!

Life is so wonderful! I hope you are as happy or more happy than I am! I got updates on my converts!

Constantin- he was really nervous to go home for Christmas because he feared breaking commandments, being pressured into things. Well that was not the case at all. His wife and some other family members have been meeting with the missionaries and his wife is on date to get baptized on the 8 and his son and neice are also on date. He was having nightly scripture study and there were 8 people coming over to join in! There are a few less active families in his city becasue it is so far from the church. I don't know if it is ture but rumor has it that they are talking about making a branch in his city! WOOT!!! Yeah that is so exciting! It is so amazing the difference one person can make! I love seeing this growth yeah for Constantin!

Katka- She is doing amazing and loving life. Her little girl, Misa is now saying prayers out loud and she says it is the most beautiful thing ever! so exciting! I love this woork!

Other exciting news! CBud no longer has a missionary as the branch president. Our awesome young adult Jirka is now the branch president, I heard rumor this would be happening around now but that was like six months ago and I had kind of forgoten, but Jirka is no the branch president! WOOT so exciting! We love this work and all that the Lord is doing! It is so true!

Here are updates on some of our investigators:

Stanislav- Well he is out of the hospital and home. He got home Wednesday! We have met with him a few times this week. The elders came out with us and gave him a blessing, we are hoping and praying that his stomach cancer is going to stop causing him greif. The spirit was so strong and he understands so well that everything happens for a reason and according to the Lords will. He has stopped smoking, it still isn’t easy obviously but he is trying. One of our less active members picked him up and brought him to church on Sunday. We found that him moving to the outskirts of the city was bad because now he has no way to get into town on the weekends, there are absolutely no buses that run by where he is at now. L After teaching him about fasting he was all over it. We had forgotten to mention it was fast Sunday and so Saturday while we were talking to him on the phone we mentioned it and he started his fast right then and fasted for 24 hours. He was ready to fast every single Sunday, we told him that he could if he wanted but it is just the first Sunday that we do it as a branch. He got up and bore his testimony in sacrament meeting, it was so great! In Sunday school he always volunteers and has amazing comments. One of the branch members gave him a little red communist book of Mormon and he was stoked about it. He thanked them time and time again and talked about how he can put it in his coat pocket and then while he waits for buses and in waiting rooms he can read. He can’t do it with the normal sized one because he would have to haul a bag around and that is not the easiest thing with crutches. You would not believe how happy he was! He is so wonderful and so accepting of everything we teach. It is so true that people are prepared to hear the gospel, you just have to pray to find them and head out looking! That is how we found Stanislav and it was in the most unexpected place too! Have to keep your eyes open!

Ting- We have a new investigator, he is Chinese and amazing! We stopped him on the street and as we were talking to him and telling him that we are missionaries and he says so what do you want from me? We explained that we meet with and teach people about faith, he stopped us and said, so what do I do next? We then went on to set up a meeting. We met with him and he is also so prepared! He is amazing! We sat down and were chatting for a couple minutes and he stopped and said, so can we start? During the lesson he kept asking such amazing questions and wanting to know what we expect of him and when he believes and knows it is true what he should do. It is so amazing! We are loving meeting with him! Can’t wait to keep helping him, we just need stuff in Chinese!

Marie – She is so amazing! We taught her the restoration again, because the first time we taught it was when she wasn’t really paying attention to us and her mom was. This time it was just her and she didn’t really have any recollection of it. We used the apostasy cups and she understood it so well! She is amazing! It is so surprising to me how fast she catches on to things!

Lenka- She is loving the gospel and learning so much. We helped her this week understand the Holy Ghost and why it is so important to know that Joseph Smith is a prophet. We are excited to meet with her this week, she is just moving right along, she always does what we ask her to, she is the perfect investigator!

We are so blessed right now with so many amazing investigators, they are such a blessing and I learn so much from them!

The huge lesson we learned this week is that the Lord will bless you and help you to reach your goals if you raise your vision and have faith. Just believe it is possible and then give it your all! We had a really rocky start this week, but we came out way on top in the end! The Lord loves us and is helping us to do what is best! I love you all sorry I don't have time to update you on everyone, I am running out of time and I forgot my planner that tells me what all happened this past week and so this is all you get. I love you and may the Lord bless you!

Love Sestra Hicken
