What a week of miracles! I love how much the Lord is in our lives and blesses us! So we had the amazing privelage to have training this week with PResident Teixeira and his wife! He is the area president for the european areas. One way we prepared for it was by fasting and making sure to have questions we wanted answered. It was so amazing how quickly the Lord answered my questions. Most of them were answered as we sat around a table as leaders with President Teixeira. It was so neat. So during that training we were taught the importance of praying always. It makes so much sense that the more contact and closer you are to God the more help you are going to be getting from him and the better prepared you will be to follow what he has to tell you. So we are attempting to make sure to do more kneeling prayers and praying before everything! After a lesson, before contacting, before changing where we are contacting, before we leave the building to go home before doing calls, before writing things, before EVERYTHING and then after!
Well we have already seen miracles with it. The day of and then the next day and so on! One of the biggest miracles was when we had a couple of lessons fall through so we went outside to do some building tours. We had talked to a lot of people and they were all blowing us off saying they weren't interested or they had no time. I soon realized we forgot to start with a prayer so when Sister Huggard was done talking to someone I walked up to her and said we should pray, so we did. After praying that we could find someone that had time and was ready to learn more, we went back to work. The first person that showed up was a young teenage girl who said, yeah I have time. So we took her to the building to show her around. She began to talk about how she had been having a really hard day and that she has been trying to decide if she was a believer and what to belive in and all sorts of things. She began to talk about how she felt that this was her answer and discussed the good feelings she had as we toured the building. It was wonderful!
Can I just say that the Lords has PERFECT timing! Not only did he get Andrea and us to meet to lift eachother right after we prayed but he had people he needed us to meet and talk to so he had us get a phone call that set us back a good 10 or so minutes and then as we crossed the street we ran into Jan. It took a lot of effort to get him to come to the building with us but finally got it. Then he left and we ran into David and got his number and are going to meet with him. If that phone call hadn't come we wouldn't have had the privelage of chatting with either of those men!
After training we went out and had a singing display and got some really good contacting in. My companion got into a bench lesson and we were running late to a meeting and I could tell it was way intense and good and I didn't want to ruin it. So the Lord blessing us happened to make it so that the Ostrava Sisters couldn't catch a train unil later in the day so they were at the singing display with us. So we were able to authorize splits and go on splits. So I got to go and teach a lesson to a wonderful member with the amazing Sister Schoen, it was perfect! Come to find out, when I was leaving with Sister Schoen it was a critical point in Sister Huggards contact as Bozena was trying to reject her but she pushed through it and in the end got her number and we have met with Bozena again and she wants to continue to meet. Talk about the Lord blessing us so we are able to accomplish everything.
Today we were able to go to a city called Ledice, it was really neat and very solemn. It is a city that Hitler ordered to be destroyed becasue one of his good buddies was killed by someone who he thought was from there. So he ordered that all the adult men be shot (192 were killed - this included boys who turned 15 a few days before), all 203 women were to be sent to a concentration camp where 60 were murdered and only 143 returned, and all children suitable for Germanization to be placed in SS families in the Reich that was 9 of the 105 children. The rest were to be re-educated by other means. 88 of them lost their lives and 17 survived to return to what was left of the city. Finally the village was to be razed to the ground. (This involved burning down the village, blowing it up and then digging up all the graves and uprooting all the trees so NOTHING was left standing). It is really sad to see how far people can go, how hard hearts can get. It is amazing how Satan always uses the same tactics, he ALWAYS tries to split up families, that is where the greatest strength and support comes from. While this was a sad event it was really good to go to and better understand what these people here in the czech republic have lived through. Helps me to better understand them and their history. I am so grateful I was able to go and I am even more grateful for the wonderful family you are to me! Thank you so much for all you do and all of your love and support! I love you all so MUCH! Keep on smiling and know that the Lord is there to support you every step of the way! love you!!!!
