Happy New Year!

Wow, 

I can't believe Christmas has come and gone! We still haven't had snow stick to the ground! It has been cold but not freezing and it just likes to mist our faces rather than rain or snow. So we will see if the snow ever comes. So you maybe wondering about how christmas is celebrated as a missionary in the Czech Republic so I will give you a quick run down of our week. Monday we were in Prague for a talent show and lunch with all the missionaries in the Czech and Slovak Republics. We then had an awesome training where we learned all about Christ. President McConkie and his parents as well as his wife all taught us different things about Mary, the wisemen, Jesus and traditions of the times. It was really neat. Tuesday we carried around our little portable dvd player and visited lots of investigators and members and showed a 5 minute nativity and bore testimony of Jesus Christ. Since it was Christmas Eve, their huge day, we had to be done by 6. So we booked it around so that we could share the true meaning of Christmas with as many as possible. It was really neat. 

If they weren't willing to let us in to share the video we sang them a Christmas Carol instead and then bore testimony and it really took about the same amount of time ha ha. But it was so neat. We felt like we should go and visit this lady we tracted into that was really nice. We caroled to her the day we trakted her. So we went back and rang the zvonek. Immediately after ringing it, we realized we were at the wrong place. My companion asks me what we do, should we just walk away? I thought why not try to share our message with whoever it is?! So this little old lady pops her head out the window and she says she can't come down and let us in but she would love to hear us sing. So we sang to her and she was just in heaven. She was so sweet and LOVED it! It was great because she acted as if she was going to be alone for Christmas eve. So it was a blessing that we got to visit her. Then we headed off to the correct house. We rang her zvonek and she comes out and tells us that she is sick and so we couldn't come in and share our message and that none of her kids or grandkids could come over for the holidays so she ended up just buying the food and sending it to the kids houses so they could celebrate. So she was going to be all alone for christmas. She loved our singing and she cried. She praised us and asked if she could give us money and we declined but she asked if we could go and sing for her friend. She said her friend would love it. SO she went in and called her friend and then sent us to her house. She was a really old lady who was going to be alone for christmas. She loved the singing and really wanted to give us money or a treat or something. She was also really talkative and so we were able to talk to her for a little about the gospel. Come to find out she has gone to our church services before and she really liked it but now she is old and sick and can't leave the house. But it was a wonderful day of visits to all these people. It was so great to brighten their days and help them to feel the true meaning of Christmas! 

Wow i am out of time how did that happen. well it was a great week! ha ha
